What I found somewhat ironic is that my local BB store (Albuquerque), has their vinyl rack in the same general location where their SACD and DVD-A section once was.

At that time of my visit, the rack was not yet full, but they did have Chinese Democracy, No Line in the Horizon, and a few of the Capital "From the Vaults" titles.

Just read about that- SWEEEEEET! Not that I love Best Buy or anything, but having it right in the mainstream is great.

It's funny. This is the same reaction people had when this invention called a "Compact Disc" first came out years ago.

Wow! 8 square feet in each store. My johnson is bigger than 8 square feet.

I get all my vinyl from Acoustic Sounds and Ebay. I'm way cool!

Maybe Chicago was a test market but they've been doing that for approximately 6-8 months around here. The first release that I remember seeing was right when Cold Play's newest album came out.

Haha! But 8 square feet isn't bad considering a typical Best Buy has 16-20 square feet of music merchandise.

Yeah, at age 17 I thought the new Compact Disc was indeed the shit- didn't last though. Within two years I was disillusioned and having bought a Rega Planar 2, returned back to vinyl. I made peace with CDs, lossless digital files, etc, a few years back but records are my format of choice.

Come to think about it I guess they could have eight trays stacked one foot deep. About 400+ albums fully stocked.
