Why do you want to pair an almost $1500 amp with 'budget' speakers? I think you have your intended setup backwards. No way the amp should cost that much more than the speakers. IMO, as a minimum, the Paradigm Reference Studio 60's would be a better pairing.

is only a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than the Anthem 225. If you want the Anthem, get it, it is a good piece of equipment. And I'm serious about the Magnepan MMGs for $600/pair being up to the task of bringing out the potential of the Anthem.
