Beatles and Stones MFSL Box

I am going to sell my Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab box sets ... "The Beatles" and "The Rolling Stones". The Beatles was played 3 times and the The Stones was played once for recording to tape. They were played on a SOTA vacuum turntable, but it's been too long for me to remember the tonearm and cartridge I had at the time. Is eBay the best place to sell these? And what would you say a fair market price would be?

Cheers,
Gerry

Ebay could be fine. Be sure to check all the dang fees, though.

You may decide to sell them here!

I haven't searched lately, but you can do Ebay searches to get a feel.

There's a current Stones set at 399.00 as a starting bid with no takers that expires on the 27th.

That actually seems like a decent price to hope for.

The Beatles is more "collectible."

There is a set on Ebay now at 610 bucks with a few days left to bid, and another with an opening bid of 499 that hasn't been bid yet, but realize, many Ebay bids come in at the last second.

I could be The Beatles set could climb higher.

Good luck, keep us posted!

Apologies.

I plead ignorance.

Well, ignorance stacked upon stupidity layered over foolishness that has been piled on top of idiocy, all over a strong foundation of authority issues.

I will go delete my gigolo services solicitation post hidden in the back issues area.

I know I am new here, but maybe creating a commerce area would be beneficial for the site. If setup right could get a piece of the action.

I don't know... buying and selling could compromise the perceived integrity of reviewers who recommend $3000 speaker cables.

Hmmm.

How's about Stereophile could use this site for when reviewers are selling the gear they bought?

Then, the mag could make sure that the gear is sold for appropriate prices, and members get a bone tossed their way?

They could even set up a lotto system for when there were multiple interested buyers!

I KNOW this would have saved a certain someone at a certain other audiophile mag (that shall remain nameless, but whose initials are TAS) a whole bunch of bother!

((Ladies, for a good time, check out the third topic down, 3rd reply, in the October, 2005, issue.))
