Baron Von Frankenstein's Hi Fi rig....

Happy Halloween!

In the spirit of the holiday, let's say you are going to assemble the ultimate speaker from parts of other speakers.

Conceptually, what parts would you rob from the morgue?

I'll go midrange a la Lowther (Quad is there, but Lowther captures the frisson of live better, for me.)

For the highs, I'll say....Apogee ribbons.

For the lows...I like fast and lean...an Acoustat 2+2 or two on each side with the crossover driving only bass.

Maybe Jeff could draw that monster for me! (Not really, just trying to imagine a charicature of that beast.)

OK, mad scientists, eat some Monster Hash (apologies to Bobby "Boris" Pickett.) and come up with your creations.

Mark Levinson's HQD circa 1970's launched an iconic career.
