Ayre KX-R preamplifier

Is there anybody out there diggin this preamp as much as I currently am? Wish I had a little more disposable income to make it happen.

Isn't it a thing of beauty...

Not only is it a real beauty, but from reading the review, I'd say it's a "must have". Maybe I should sell the neighbour's car?

Ahhh.. your tempting me Keld. I'm one step away from getting a second mortgage to finance it AND the MX-R mono amps by Ayre.

I need some serious intervention...

If you want "eye candy", it is a cool brick indeed.

I like the SOUND of my Audio Research LS-26 at least as well, however, and $6000 is a little more reasonable than $18,000.

definitely. Best thing is, in about 3 years the price will be drastically reduced on the used market and you can probably pick up the pair at around $9,000 or so. That what I have to do sometimes.

Ayre KXR

I've owned the KXR for about 3 months now , can't say enough good things about it . It replaced my A.R.C. Ref 3 , With solid state like this , who needs tubes .
