I have a relatively small system which consists of receiver,DVD,CD,equalizer, turntable and VCR player mostly Denon components. Anyway I'm in need of some interconnect audio cables, good quality and "INEXPENSIVE" I don't need a set of $100.00 per set. I want nice custom made lengths NOT 1 meter which is all I see. Why on earth would I need something to connect that's 12" away and have 3' of cable hanging out the back of my little setup. I don't need spaghetti hanging down to the floor which I already have with the cheap cables that came with some of my components. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can get decent cables for a reasonable price on this planet. I'm not a rich person and I would make them myself but I have a little problem called paralysis from the neck down. Can anyone help me out, I know some of you guys probably make your own, I wish I could. "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, your my only hope."
Unless you do make your own - in which case, lots of luck to you - about the shortest cable you'll find is 1/2 meter. Try Kimber, as a relatively low cost high quality manufacturer. Interconnects do make a difference in sound, and that difference only comes so cheap. There's no interconnect equivalent to lamp cord speaker wire and there shouldn't be.
You might want to talk with Frank at Signal Cable http://www.signalcable.com/
River Cable <www.rivercable.com> will sell you custom lengths of their analog interconnects as short as 8". Expect to pay ~ $85 for this in their top of the line AudiFlex Gold Plus.
