I think if you read it you'll see it ain't exactly yer Mobile oil stuff. For one, it's for much smaller parts and needs to be a lot thinner viscosity. You wouldn't put thick stuff in the workings of a watch would you? Gum up the gears!
That being said- it IS expensive, no argument there. Plus, once I substituted some high grade bike part oil to refill a platter bearing well, and it corroded the nylon bearing points inside. Now THAT was saving pennies to spend big bucks later when I had to replace the whole bearing set! So even if it seems a good idea I'd say check it out with your manufacturer before fooling around with it.
Proper oil for whatever is required, that still ain't $65/ 25cc. high end cars use oil with specs out the wazooo. Just having a turbo VW, requires the oil type that meets specs, and it ain't $65/25cc. Meets all kinds of requirements. VW even had the Audi R8 I think spec'd at only one oil that met their needs!!! VW spec 505 or other ones they have. If you look at the labels on oils for engines, look at all the specs it meets. Where is the spec sheet on this nonsense. This is squeezed snake....oil? Besides not meeting labeling requirments for liquids shipped etc, where are the contents, specs, etc? $65/25cc......amazing, I'm sure it "sounds" better!!!!
And cars are like TTs because...?
When TT bearing oil is mass produced in millions of gallons to essentially a single set of specs, the price will drop accordingly.
So TT oil comes from special TT oil factories, special special special.....single set of specs? Read a spec sheet of motor oils.....What is so special about a TT bearing that is somehow something so exotic over bearings in a car? Hmmm, cars run in temperature extremes, heavy loads, etc etc. A TT platter, spins in a closed enviorment, at low speed. What won't an audiophile NOT beleive? Vacuum pump oil and turbo pump oil which has bearings running at 43,000 RPM has a super stable requirement, and it doesn't cost as much as this nonsense. If you know what a turbo pump in a vac system is, you may begin to learn something. TT oil!!! Are you for real.See if you can get specs on this magic fluids? It's a joke. 3 in 1 sewing machine oil, at K-Mart is fine for TT's. Amazing. That carbon build up in TT's is such an issue, high temps, acid build up, moisture, are you completely clueless? I think they should sell you this crap for $200/ 25cc, it's even better stuff then.
Made in the special audio grade fuse factories!!!! Limited production, each fuse and bottle of oil is listened to before shipping!!!
Not exotic, but totally different.
Yes. As I stated, totally different. There are even more differences.
Sorry, DUP. Your limited knowledge of cars has already been well-established, and is irrelevant.
Unfortunately this is not true. BTW, 3-1 is not is not sewing machine oil (which is a much finer grade, as is clock oil, etc.)
Additionally, three-in-one has some nasty additives (especially the spray form) you do not want in any fine grade equipment, whether it be a sewing machine, a firearm, a clock, etc.
Put the mirror down, DUP. It's blinding you.
