Good justification there for my previous advice, "Hey Alan, once JV starts spewing the venom and insults, there is no point in reading or paying attention to his posts..." Thanks.

Yeah, I tend to get pissed off when someone comes in just to take a crap where I'm sitting. But, then, some people think smearing feces on the wall is funny. It's not, billyboy, and you can stop now. Or are you practicing how to drive a thread into the ditch?

Nobody else wants to see this turn into a series of insults. Are you able to be adult enough about this to stop now? I'm sorta thinking not.

I put JV on my ignore list a while ago and I must say that my browsing experience has become much more pleasant.

You're right, AlexO, it's time. I'll put him on "ignore" and start enjoying this forum more.

Not my intent to bash but I did the same approx. a week ago and have found visits here much more enjoyable.

Join the ranks of those who misunderstand the concept of the "ignore" feature. When you "ignore" someone you truly ignore them. You don't use the feature to hide behind the skirts of "ignore" while you continue to insult that person at every opportunity. However, I've come to expect nothing less from those adolescents running amok on this forum who get their jollies by spreading crap all over a thread.

A difference of opinion?! Oh, no, not with these fine fellows aboard! Such a thing will not be tolerated.

Discussion?! That's not why they show up here.

billyboy, join the ranks of those who can only "enjoy" the forum when all they hear is the squeaky echo of their own tiny voice rattling around inside their empty, little know nothing noggins devoid of original thought. Not a brave man among them, frightened autocrats all.

BOO!!!

Generally speaking, price-fixing would NOT occur if an individual dealer decides not to sell below MSRP. Price fixing would occur if either the manufacturer forced all dealers not to sell below MSRP (illegal), or if all the dealers conspired to not sell below the list price (that would be a criminal conspiracy - and illegal).

From what I understand, the rules in the U.S. changed in August 2008 so that there's quite a discrepancy between the laws in the U.S. and Canada (where I live).

Despite that, I still will not buy from dealers who refuse to negotiate. Whether it was buying my last car from a dealer who told me that discounts were "not available" (pre current economic meltdown) or from an audio dealer who told me that the tubed power amp that I wanted sold for list price, I still managed to obtain what I considered to be fair prices for both.
