I'm happy! My system certainly isn't the best, but I'm enjoying it. (For now)
I agree with you 100%.
I like my system. I'm listening to it now. It was purchased with my own money. Consequently I don't have to answer to anyone about the choices I've made on anything. If you want to come over have a beer and listen to some music, come on. If you are going to criticize my choices of anything but music be advised I have removed people from my home by physical means. I won't hesitate to do so again. That said come on over. Bring beer! Lite beer will cause you to be rejected at the door.
I am enjoying both my systems immensely these days.

The best hi-fi is the one we own, use and enjoy.
It's always been about the music not the ratings of components
I am also completely happy with my system. Even after hearing dozens of other, more impressive systems at the SSI show in Montreal, I am completely happy with my system. So happy that I don't think about it at all. All I do is enjoy it. And, of course, I do spend a lot of time thinking of all the music I have to listen to.
Having worked in the audio industry I've heard all kinds of extravagant systems but my system never fails to lower my heart rate and create a temporary sense of inner peace. If that isn't enjoyment I don't know what is. It could always be better, but I'm thankful for what I have.
