The remote for my Arcam AV300 receiver (model Arcam CR80) died today, apparently after taking a drop to the floor. There's some play in the battery compartment, and I don't think I'm getting a good contact as the batteries just jiggle around/fall out as soon as I open the battery compartment lid. Tried new batteries, and the remote is still non-functional.
I looked around online for a replacement, and nobody seems to be selling (the remote is long-discontinued, apparently).
Is there a different remote that would work in its place? Preferably something inexpensive, as I really only used the CR80 for volume control and switching the inputs. Short of that, do you think I could easily repair it somehow? Or, does anyone have a CR80 lying around that they could get rid of?
Admittedly, I don't know much about remotes, so any advice at all would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
