Ouch. What a dreadful way to end the day.

I don't know where to get a replacement other than to contact the manufacturer and/or distributor.

Good luck!

Thanks, ELK, for the moral support.
I checked out AR online last night, right after the mishap. It seems that AR is now in the "Audiovox" family of companies. I will call, but I'm not hopeful that anyone there speaks other than boom box.
Perhaps my watch repair person can find or fabricate a watch crystal that I can seat at the bottom. It will raise the platter a few mm, but the AR should handle that OK. A longshot, perhaps, but I thinks that's all I may have.
Please reply if any good ideas come to you.
Thanks again. Mike

There are some very knowledgeable vinyl people here - perhaps you will get some help after the week starts and there is more activity on the forum.

Check out the Vinyl Engine website and I guess if you cannot find anything there...then it is back to the valium...I will attach a link to the forum which is for AR eclusively, and please note I think you might have to join (but if so then that is easy) and the site itself (www.vinylengine.com) is very user friendly indeed.
