Any Bhangra aficionados?

I find something very compelling in good Bhangra, but it is a style of music where I don't yet have my feet.

Anybody here really dig and have some favorites lists they can share?

I'll get my act together and list my favorites to compare...tomorrow.

Tonight has been too full of 2001 Les Dix and Alaap and Labh Janjua to remember anyone else.

At the risk of sounding ethnocentric, you could have fooled me into ordering some Alaap with naan and a side of Labh Janjua and I wouldn't have known better when I was a young buck.

I like it but don't know the specific artists etc to look for, so look forward to yours and others recommendations/compilations.

How about them Oscars?

Hello, Bhangra!

Did you check the guy dressed like a Hindi Lemmy?!?!

Although, I dearly love Peter Gabriel. Where the Hell was he?
John Legend? WTF, Pete?

Anyway, MIA is pretty cool. "Arular" is a decent disc...buyer beware.

That Slumdog soundtrack is a total guilty pleasure.

I wish it were on vinyl.
