i love this. i too have those 6b's except in the bird's eye. the dealer told me that $250 for the stands was rediculous and you could easily build your own. it looks like we built the exact same stands. it looks like a nice clean setup and i am sure sounds great.

Thanks for your comments I must agree with you about the stands. You don't exactly get a lot for your $250. You could definitely get similar results building your own. I am enjoying the Aerials. It took me awhile to find the right components to go with them though. It also took a while to get them positioned right. Now I have them toed in a bit more than the photo reflects. The only other change to my system from the one pictured is that I recently upgraded to a Meridian G8 cd player. It was a nice step up, giving me a more refined and warm presentation. Compared to the Ayre CD player, the Meridian is just as dynamic, but seems to present greater low level detail and does an incredible job with female vocals. The Ayre could be a little agressive at times, bordering on edgy, but the Meridian has settled in nicely.

Here is another view. The PS Audio Power Duet on the left is used for my TV and DVD player. The Shunyata Hydra 4 (you can barely see a portion of it on the platform behind the right speaker) is used for the integrated amp, cd player and my cable box.
