Adcom GFA 5200

Can a Adcom GFA 5200 be bridged to run a single 4 ohm speaker without frying the amp? I have a chance to buy a second cheep and thought it might be a option but cannot find any information on bridging them.

There is no mention of the ability of the GFA 5200

to be bridged in the user manual, and there is a warning about impedance dips below four ohms. A 4 Ohm loudspeaker would essentially present a bridged amplifier with a 2 Ohm load in each channel. The GFA 5200 just does not have the guts to do it.

Thanks

That is what I suspected.
