Hi. I've been looking around for ADC XLM Improved MkII stylus and the find on the net ranges from lowest $40+ to highest $120+. Both claim that the stylus is genuine. I'm sort of amazed at such a difference in price. Anyone has idea where I can get ADC genuine stylus(not generic replacement) at reasonable (not rip-off) price? Thanks.

Are either of these two styli new or are they N.O.S. from thirty years ago? If they are N.O.S., they might have suspension damping blocks which have dried up and hardened, making the stylus dangerous to use, the cantilever could collapse and damage a record. Why not invest in a new cartridge?

I think these styli are new cos they're from styli-sellers on the net. Actually, I'm using a new Shure M97XE and I got the ADC recently from ebay. I've heard a lot of good about this cartridge and would very much like to hear how it compares to Shure that I'm using.

If they're both new, then it really is a mystery why there is such a price difference, isn't it?
