I want the DSD SACD Hybrid, CD is obsolete PCM, he invented nothing. And if it doesn't meet Philips standards in size and material, I bet he can be made to NOT call it a CD as per teh specs that Philips/Sony have in CD format etc. Philips/Sony I think won a battle with some kluge version of teh CD, made the makers not be able to use the Cd logo etc. Glass was not in the CD format. Why would you want it to last forever, it's already OBSOLETE format, it's not even DSD. If ya break a standard PLASTIC disc, or it don't play, ya buy another one, for a lot less. Stupid concept. Of course now, GLASSS SOUNDS better than plastic, here we go. Will a Furutech deMag it? Will green in make it play better? Does it need a Mapingo disc, or disc stabilizer?

DUP, you are missing the point if they can make a glass CD they could most likely make a glass SACD or DVD-Audio. Also at this point it looks like CD may very well out live SACD and DVD-Audio. Anything that can be done to make CD a better format is important work in my opinion. Anything that pushes the state of the art forward is great.

I'll be interested in seeing if they measure better and sound better. I think that John Atkinson and company should try to get one of these CDs for listening and measuring. Don't let me down Stereophile.

It's probably gonna take an entirely new color SHARPIE to make it play right. GREEN only works on Polycarbonate? Furutech will demag it? With the Furutech II, w/glass upgraded demag functions. $1,000 additional. I'm sure teh music will be more transparent, you will have less haze, less smir. WINDEX or even better, Invisible Glass from Stoner, will enhance the sound. Think of all new TWEAKS that can be glass specific. Too bad I can bet Philips/Sony won't let them sell it as CD, doesn't meet CD license specs. And it's way too expensive, it's a novelty act. I want to see one of of WOOD. Then I don't have to buy Myrtle Blocks.
