50/50 HT & Music, Close to Wall?

Hoping to collect some recommendations before I start auditioning this month. Room is 12' X 20' but a riser and two rows of seating mandate placement within 1 foot of front wall for L/C/R speakers. Budget $5 to $7K for front three speakers, any favorite sealed or front-ported models I should listen too? Thanks,

John

Dynaudio is certainly worth a listen if you have a dealer in your area.

I would recommend to you the aerial acoustic floor stand model 6 or stand mount lr3's and add the cc3b for the center. Check out aerial acoustices web site for these models. Price is 4200 for two with stands for the lr3's. The model 6 is 3500 - 3800 plus the cost of the ajustable bases if you wanted them. The cc3b is 2000 to 2200 for the center.

good luck

Ended up with VMPS RM30 for L/R/C. I've heard the 40's and liked them, so fingers crossed here...

I'm not familiar with that speaker company so I did a quick search to see what I could find out. A very interesting design approach. I didn't find a review that I could relate to very well, but what I did read seemed very favorable.

Here's a review, though only anecdotal in worth.

Thanks for the link. I had seen that review - long on impressions, short on measurements...
