[£250] Speaker & Amp Recommendations (Music)

I currently looking to get a good audio setup for my smallish bedroom, ranging from £200-£220. Preferably a two speaker setup and a decent amp to play through my soundcard.

I listen to a wide range of Hip-Hop be it Tribe, Slum Village, Wu Tang, Dilla, Nas, MF Doom, from west to Dre, Quik, Kendrick Lamar, Odd Future to south etc..

I've been looking at the (Boston Acoustics A25 £100) (Audioengine A5+ £165) (Wharfedale Diamond 121 - £150). Not sure if they'll be any good for hip-hop though? I havent decided on an amp as of yet, may just leave the sub for a while.

Anyone want to give me advice on if these are any of these are a good pair and also if there any amps that will go good with them.

Thank you in advance.

A5

Of those three speakers, I have direct experience with only one of them, the AudioEngines. I couldn't be happier, and I have bought them for family members as well. They are excellent for hip hop. They are self powered speakers so u don't need to buy an amp - their custom matched amp is built in.

I suggest the Whafedales.

It seems to me that you also need a subwoofer for that type of music, but that will be quite a lot of money to get a decent one.
