The Focal speakers are very good, and the Cambridge amplifier is also good.

I do not like putting the DAC and amplifier on the same chassis, though, as it is a bad design compromise IMO.

I think the Music Hall 15.3 amplifier is a better amplifier, and it is only $550. I recommend that you look at it.

The Grace Digital Solo, is an excellent network radio tuner, with 20K preprogrammed stations and a nice display/user interface. It is only $90 at Amazon. I love it for classical radio listening, plus the world-wide selection of music stations includes every kind that exists. I use it with Wi-Fi and connect its analog output jacks right to my amplifier (it can also be hard-wired to the internet). The Oldies station in Beijing is a hoot.

The OPPO BDP-103 is very good and has a good DAC. You can use it to connect a computer or any digital source via USB or digital input for listening through your system when not playing discs, and it has very good sound quality for CD and SACD also. At $499 it is a steal. Go to the OPPO website and look at all of its features; you will be impressed, I think.

I also store a lot of ripped CDs on a 16 GB USB memory stick (50 or more CDs using 320K MP3 files), and that will plug into the OPPO and the directory will come up on your video monitor or TV. I also do the same thing in my Prius, which has a USB input jack for the audio system.

Those 3 components should do everything you want, plus a lot more, and the BDP-103 and its DAC are excellent

Thanks a lot. What do you think about how to wire them. How much to spend would be reasonable? Would you make any sugestion please?

I recommend the Monoprice 12 gauge pure copper speaker wire (Monoprice #2747-50 feet for $15) for your speaker connections.

For interconnects, I recommend the Audioquest Diamondback and Red River interconnects.

Thanks Commsysman,
Instead of Focal Chorus 726 I have purchased Focal Profile 908. Would that change anything in the choice of other components you sugested or not ? Regards
