As an ex Maggie owner (three different pair) I have some experience with them. IMO the Peachtree Nova 125 would be more than adequate. It can't address what I consider to be insufficient bass from MMG's. However, a fairly decent sub woofer (preferably two) can solve that problem.

Magnepan has a new bass module that pairs with the MMG's.  Didn't want to pull the trigger on that but may have to check it out now. I did a little more research on the Nova and they claim to be able to drive "difficult" loads. Difficult might be a matter of opinion.  Thanks for your feedback.

I have a deal for you...lol.

As a result of selling one of my homes, and generally downsizing in my retirement, I am cutting down from three systems to one.

I have already sold most of my speakers and other gear, but I have a Musical Fidelity M3i integrated amplifier for sale that would be perfect for you. It is like new, puts out around 100 watts per channel at 4 ohms, and the sound quality is excellent.

It has preout jacks which can be used to go to a subwoofer.

I will let it go for $900 plus shipping charges.

Send me a PM if interested.

I need a little help picking out an amplifier for the Magnepan MMG's. It has been 10+ years since my last system and Im starting over from scratch. My last system was B&K M-200 monoblocks, Quad preamp, Esoteric transport and a pair of Theil loud speakers.  All is gone except for the preamp as a result of two kids, loss of my listening room and other things that have made me give up the things I love. I have the Quad and a great deal on some MMG's. Looking at new amps I'm a little confused about Class D amps and most of the new products. I auditioned a Peachtree Nova125 and loved it in the store.  Would this amp drive a pair of Maggies. Or should I go to straight power amp and use my old Quad pre? I'm going to have a hard time saving for a CJ classic 60 or an entry level Krell. Are integrated's good enough to drive these.  Where can I get some unbiased info? Help, #backinthegame

I'm at the same point except mine is a 'clean sheet' system about $5,000-

Roksan Radius 5.2/ Nima/ Corus Silver  [Already bought]

NAD PP3l pre

Odyssey Kartago power

Magnepan MMG Super

Black Mamba Cables

Having lost touch with the audio world, these are components picked from multiple reviews and I'm aware that this method is fraught with problems. Unable to listen to any of them (!) the the advice and suggestions made here will decide

No pressure, then  ;-))

So obviously your experiences re compatibility or otherwise will inform the final system- expectations are modest regarding the 'hi-fi-ness' of this setup but pleasant, listenable, non-fatiguing reproduction is the aim. Can't say I'm an audiophile.

Room is a studio (beds, table, built-ins, bamboo flooring) about 7m x 4.5m x 2.4m (23ft x 15ft x 8ft) with one corner truncated.
