SM had good fortune using the Audioquest Q Feet under his friend's Music Hall USB-1: http://www.stereophile.com/content/entry-level-9

Great. Thank you for the response. I will look into that option.

If the bookshelf unit has feet or stands at its 4 corners it may be tippy at one of the corners where it contacts a particular floor board. That is probably the problem. Cutting a piece of board the full size of the base and putting the shelf unit on top of it will eliminate the tippiness by spreading the contact across a broad area rather than just the corners.

You may also want to consider putting a piece of carpeting or foam cut to size under the bookshelf unit to isolate it from the floor.

I wanted to give the board a quick update. I ended up purchasing a set of large IsoNodes, and these have done an excellent job of isolating the turntable to stop skipping. If I jump up and down in front of the turntable it still can skip slightly, but normal walking/running is fine.

(the reader imagines VinnieG jumping up and down in his listening room in front of his turntable)
