Yah 'dere, If you're still looking, while I've had some bad c/l experiences, in Atlanta's c/l today there is a very nice Carver TFM-35 amp I wish I could afford. States 250 wpc.

Both amps u mention  have about the same power into 4 ohms. 

Since the CV's are so efficient, you don't need that much power. Get it if you like of course, but u are safe to consider smaller amps.

I owned the CV AT-12 (1 step below the AT-15) back in the late 80's/early 90's. At that time I used an Adcom 200wpc power amp.

Wonderful results. Very musical and bass was superb. Considering you own the AT-15 model, I would go at least 250wpc, high current, power amp.  If you are looking to build a more vintage-tuned system, check out the Adcom 585 mono blocks. PLay it Loud!!!

I have a pair of AT-100's hooked up to a Yamaha MX-1000 amplifier. The amplifier is hooked up to a Pioneer VSX-D1S out of the preamp !! All I can say is sound that is unimaginable !! I have to keep extra fuses because the amp is so strong. In the Army, in the barracks we use to have stereo wars and I always won. I still have my master set-up and there is nothing that can replace it or beat it !! I'm sure there is something that costs thousands of dollars that is comparable, but for the clarity and power they don't have a chance !! I have pushed the AT-100 to the limit and nothing comes close. But, of course, it is the combination of units that make my set-up what it is....the VSX-D1S is what makes the difference in how clear the speakers sound at full blast !!
