Yard Sale audio

This last weekend I picked up a pair of Boston Acoustics CR7's for a song and a dance (5 bucks). Later that same day at another sale (sunday afternoon price drop!) I picked up a NAD 3240PE AND a NAD 2100 for 10 bucks.  The 3240 drives the CR7's nicely, really really good in fact. The question is, is there any reason to use the 2100 with these speakers?

Boston CR7's and NAD 3240PE

Modesto, Ca!

The speakers were at a church sale, and the 3240PE was at a estate sale. The fuses were blown so they didn't know it worked. I guess it didn't until I replaced them. :)
Actually got 2 pairs of the Bostons, one pair were the CR7's and the second pair were CR4's 10 bucks for both pairs.
Really was a great deal.cheeky

no snark here

i have yard sales all the time in my neighborhood. i wish i could find stuff like that though.

northern california seems to be a hide-away for a lot of hi-fi enthusiasts so it doesn't surprise me that you could find such cool gear at a yard sale.

I remember the NAD 2100 as being a great value in its day. But if you are happy driving the Bostons with the more powerful (100Wpc vs 65Wpc) 3240PE, why not stick with that.
