Recommendations:

#1- Excellent subwoofer; NHT B12D ($700)

#2- Pretty good subwoofer; Klipsch RW-12 ($350 0r so)

#3- Fairly good subwoofer: Polk PSW505 ($250)

#4- cheap subwoofer: Polk PSW10 ($120) - might be OK if you keep the volume low/small room

Perfectly sound recommendations. And there are a lot of subwoofer makers so be open to other brands too.
