I was a little surprised that the folded extension didn't just peel off completely. I may cut it off, treat it as a special collector edition, or completely ignore it.

Any one else a little amused that the fold-out advertisement is the same annoying ad that always comes up on the front page of the website? As for defacing the cover, the Skullcandy and Beats headphones took care of that. I kid (mostly), but I assume putting familiar headphones on the cover means the average teen will be more likely to pick up the magazine and get interested about hifi.. which isn't a bad thing.

I'm convinced they do these things to test our tolerance and loyalty .

The Sony add that pops up and completely blocks your view on the home page , not just once but everytime you return to the main home page after reading a specific article in full , and again every time you go to the next page has convinced me not to read the home page at all and refrain from ever purchasing a Sony product again .

Sorry for sounding crotchety but you have to draw the line somewhere .

The May content is a satisfying as always, but the fold-out cover with its sticky goop is definitely an idea whose time has not come. Kudos for thinking out of the box, this is just an idea that doesn't work so well in implementation.

Seems we all noticed it was a Sony ad. Is that good for Sony?

How long are we going to have to suffer this annoying and counterproductive pop-up Sony add? Not sure who I am more pissed-off at, Sony or Stereophile.

Well , whenever I have mixed feelings about something I turn to my unmistakably unshakable other half for guidance . She mentioned , with the tinniest of grins on her face that the ancient and mystical Voynich manuscript had fold outs . I think that means , don't get your s**t in a knot  ???

Mine was sealed shut, and after 3 weeks, it just looks like the cover is creased.  Didn't even know it was there.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Nonetheless, I wasn't really happy with the cover or the related column.

I need more comparisons to high-end models.  Something about the review rubbed me the wrong way.

Maybe the desire for bling in public.  Something else is lacking if you need that.

I don't get the whole 'fitting in' thing..  Set trends by having convictions about what you like and don't like.  Others will follow you over time, if you have sound reasons for you what you wear or do.   I can't tell you how many times others have come up to me in the street and asked about my Grados or Sonys, or Sennheisers, or whatever. Fitting in sucks, and you'll get noticed a lot quicker if you're not. One day the rest of that generation will realize how valuable being truly orginal is. Until then, it's skinny jeans, boring flannels, and beards for everyone! Yay!

I can't picture Stephen looking natural in translucent brown and gold accents.  Unless he's rapping on the weekends.

I'm sure the bass performance does great justice to Kanye.

God help us all.
