Not sure if rp1 w perf pack includes a cartridge upgraded from the basic ortofon one. If it does, and has the rega elys then you're ok there. Or try the rega Exact. What preamp do u use?
The perf pack includes the Bias 2 cartridge, and the preamp is the Bellari VP130 with the tube upgraded to a Mullard NOS tube.
Thanks for your help!
thanks, the perf pack includes that cartridge, good. The next cartridge upgrade in their line is the Elys 2, if you want to try that. I think a Stereophile review (by Stepen Mejias?) said the PSU was worthwhile upgrade. There's a forum member (dont remember who) who also recommends the subplatter.
So you don't use a preamp, other than the Bellari phono preamp? That's cool, given that it does have an output level control. I was assuming that you may have cd or other sources that run through a preamp, and thus that the Bellari would plug into that too.
The biggest bang right now will be to get that GT subplatter. Your music will thank you for it. I have a Rega P3 modded to the nines, and this has been my experience.
Cheers, Plastico
