Cartridge For Grace 707 on Denon DP1250

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to the world of HiFi, so I have limited knowledge and any help would be much appreciated.

Here's the situation; I was gifted a Denon DP1250 with a Grace 707 arm on it and no cartridge. This would all be running through a Naim 42-5 with 323 cartridges. Any thoughts/recommendations for a cartridge?

Thanks for reading!

The Grace 707 is an ultra low mass tonearm deserving a high

compliance cartridge. While generally a high dynamic compliance figure will be adequate to determine an appropriate cartridge, one can also consider most moving magnet cartridges with low recommended tracking forces as a decent match for low mass arms. I really like Nagaoka cartridges. Pick one within your budget and enjoy!

What about moving coil cartridges?

Cool, thanks.

I'm told the Naim 323s are best used with moving coil cartridges, do you (or anyone for that matter) have any recommendations for an MC cartridge that would work well in this situation?

Most moving coil cartridges are low compliance and require a

medium to high mass tonearm. Any high compliance moving coil phono cartridges I have seen have been very pricey, the Van den Hul Black Beauty being one.
