headphone jack? This makes it difficult to satisfy your not having to switch cables. You will also need a phono preamplifier to boost the signal from the turntable to line level and apply RIAA equalization. You could try to get an integrated amp with good phono and headphone sections and sell the Asgard.

The Andrew Jones designed Pioneer SP-BS41-LR bookshelf speakers are overachievers and are only $166/pair.

Difficult indeed.  My original thought was to just switch cables around as needed:  Turntable to Asgard with headphones and Turntable to speaker amp when not.  Then, even more cable switching would be involved when I wanted to listen to music off my computer.

If I could find a good integrated solution, then I wouldn't be opposed to it.  I really am in love with how my headphones jive with the Asgard, though, so it'd have to be something with a high-quality headphone out.

The Anthem 225 Integrated has a good headphone section, but its probably more amp than you want. I would think there has to be a Chinese tube amp with a good headphone section. If you got efficient speakers you could even get one of those low watt jobs.

The Maverick Audio TubeMagic A1 is a possibility too, two inputs. http://www.mav-audio.com/base/product/tube_magic_a1
