VPI HR-X

Under recommended turntables you show the VPI HR-X with a JMW 12.6 tonearm. It also shows a JMW 12.6 tonearm in the recommended tonearm section. However, shouldn't both entries show the tonearm as JMW 12.7?

Additionally, VPI's website also list the HR-X with the JMW 12.7 tonearm.

Thanks,

Jeff

VPI HR-X

Hi Jeff,

In regards to the inclusion of the 12.6 in the HR-X's blurb, since the turntable was reviewed with the 12.6, that is why it is mentioned in the blurb as such (to reflect the comments in the review).

In regards to the individual listing in the tonearm section, manufacturers are asked to verify that all the production models we may list in the RecComp database are up to date in terms of both model name and price. VPI failed to inform us of this update, thus we were unaware.

When we update the listing for April 2013, we will be sure to flag this and update it and consider what changes the product has undergone to determine whether it should still be listed and also provide a correction to the blurb.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Thanks Ariel for your response. After I posted, it struck me that you had probably reviewed the HR-X with the 12.6. My bad.

You are correct that they should have updated you on the tonearm.

Still an awesome turntable.

Jeff
