and barely qualifies as woofer. It barely reaches a half an octave lower than your loudspeakers.

The Audioengine S8 is a subwoofer that is well matched to your Audioengine A2s. It is small and light for a subwoofer, and from what I've seen is well regarded. You will have 30 days before you have to send it back for a full purchase price refund if you don't like it. I think you will.

Good point....AE has a great trial/ return policy. I'm sure that I'll be happy with the performance. And the price is probably worth it long term.
