Unless you don't like the Klipsch F1, they are a pretty good loudspeaker, again if one likes the Klipsch sound.  If you got speakers with less sensitivity then the 90 wpc of the Yamaha might not be enough. The sub has to go though, a real underachiever.

The Klipsch RF-82 IIs at $1,200/pair would be a definite step up and should still do well with the B-2 and C-2.

A good sub like the Elemental Designs A5-350 for $800 would put a smile on your face.

I do not like Yamaha, strictly personal opinion...I would buy a much better receiver (maybe $1500 worth) and replace the turntable with a new project one...

I would spend the money on a new receiver and a good subwoofer.

I am using the same subwoofer with my Audioengine A2 speakers for my computer table, but it certainly does not have the power for a regular sound system.

I recommend the Rythmic F12 subwoofer, which is $799 direct from the factory; they make outstanding subwoofers.

For a reciver, I recommend the Denon AVR-2312CI receiver, which goes for $850 now on Amazon.

I mainly listen to vinyl when I'm listening on my own, but also have a Mac Mini entertainment center that gets used for music during parties and when I need continuous music.  I listen to everything from Billie Holiday to indy rock to electronic.

I'm thinking about upgrading my receiver or front channel speakers.  I would prefer not to replace the entire speaker system, so I'd need something that would mix well with the Klipsch center and surrounds.

All advice is appreciated.

home theater receiver. Have you thought about going 2.1 by selling the F1s, center and surrounds, getting a good integrated amplifier, good tower speakers and a good subwoofer?
