Just hooked up my UPA-2 amplifier.  All I can say is WOW!!!!   Many years ago I had an Audio Research system with Magneplanar speakers.  This amp, hooked to 25 year old DCM Timewindows with a Pro-Ject Debut III turntable is amazing.  These people make great stuff at very reasonable prices.

of UPA-1s driving Magnestand modified Magnepan MMGs and a Rythmik F12 subwoofer.  Cannot be beat for perhaps two or three times the price.

I own two of their older monoblocks and canot say enough good about them. Unlike much in audio, the brand punches way above its price. I am using them in my basic vinyl system and they are not the weak point in that audio chain.

I've had a pair of UPA-1 amps in my system for about a year now, and I love them! I was initially concerned about Emotiva because they are interenet direct, and because their prices are so reaonsable, but I have no concerns anymore.

Never had an issue with my XPA-3 or the UPA-1's...  You don't have to spend a huge sum of money to impress your friends.  Just because a magazine covers $5000 and up amps doesn't mean your going to be able to really buy the product. Makes for fine reading...

are kick butt amps, not for just the price reason either, but because of their sound. i was a long time fan of NAD"S natural sound. i was concerned about departing this, but i'm glad i did. emotiva has a natural sound also, but the bass has more bite to it. watch the emo's to go on sale this spring.
