You could ask at www.needledoctor.com

I have a Discwasher stylus brush. When it looks in need of cleaning I use a cleaning brush for suede shoes. I have a vacuum RCM for cleaning vinyl so I don't need to use it that often. When I do I put a drop of Disc Doctor solution on it.

I also use the Discwasher stylus brush with some stylus cleaner at the end of a listening session. I use a smaller stylus brush dry between albums.

I would say to go with the manufactures recommendations for your cartridge/stylus. For instance, I bought an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge recently and Ortofon doesn't recommend the use of cleaning fluid on there stylus, only there dry brush after each use/side of an album..

I found this info on the Ortofon website...

Sorry for not being clearer, but I appreciate the respones. I'm wondering how to clean the actual stylus brush?? Using it as a dry brush, it gets covered in dust/lint - do people just rinse with distilled water?? I'm assuming using my fingers to wipe the excess off is a bad idea because of the oils on my hand?? Sorry, I know it's kind of a dumb question, but I'm unsure. Thanks in advance!!!

I just brush or flick it on the edge of my glass audio shelf a few times...
