I'm more familiar with the Diamond series and those I heard were good for the money, outstanding midrange.

Any stereo integrated amplifier should be able to handle a 6 Ohm nominal impedance. A Jolida JD1501A would be nice for $675, if you could figure out who actually owns right to the company. The Cambridge Audio 740A is $879 on sale. If you were looking to spend less perhaps a Harmon Kardon HK3490 for $280 would do.

Thanks for the reply and specs jackfish.

My budget for am amplifier is about US$250. I don't mind buying a gently used one. I'm not a big fan of Harman Kardon, and would rather look towards getting a "higher-end" brand such as Marantz, NAD, Rotel, etc, though I know these are going to be hard to find in my budget.

Any thoughts/opinons ?

Music Hall A 25.2 $250
Cambridge Audio 640A V.2 $295
NAD C325 BEE $295
NAD C320 BEE $220
Yamaha A-S500 $275
Cambridge Audio 540A $250

None are 100 wpc but in a bedroom with 87dB sensitivity speakers 50 wpc should be adequate.

Bi-wiring has limited utility for most applications. Just use a single run of appropriate gauge quality speaker wire.

Thanks again jackfish.

From what I've read about bi-wiring, it has no downside (except extra wires running through) and good potential upside, so I think I'm going to give it a shot. The Wharfedale's have 4 output posts on each speaker to make bi-wiring easy.

That AudioGoN forum is amazing, but i'm not in the US, so I dont want to pay $200 for shipping to Asia! :(
