Hi rydal. Yikes! I've never experienced this. Did you purchase the record from a store or independent seller? I guess it's possible that the previous owner really abused or neglected the record. If a second cleaning helped, I would say just continue cleaning the record. Let the enzymatic fluid sit on the LP for several minutes before vacuuming.

Thanks Stephen! This was from a small store. It's the 1st pressing of Ritchie Valen's first album. I will keep cleaning it.

My fear is that it may be the vinyl deteriorating for some reason. I was also going to try a more than normal quantity of Last preservative to see if it bonds the vinyl more. What do you think?
