I always try to find products that perform superbly, and then see how they look. If it doesn't look good in my room,Ii would find another product that performs superbly and looks good. Simple.

Naim, because of that glowing logo—ugly green.

Just don't give thought to appearance. It's sound that counts.

Sure, even in the used market. The Parasound Halo JC2 pre is fairly ugly, so I might just buy a Jeff Rowland Synergy IIi instead.

Any Harbeth speakers. They look too ugly to sound good—even if it is not true.

The "One With Veto Power" nixed Vandersteen 2Ce speakers when I was looking to move into high end sound years ago. I was encouraged to spend more to get a nice looking cabinet, so I did!

I mean, it's appearance doesn't have to be mesmerizing for me to buy it, but it has to at least have a clean look. Something I can walk around town with and avoid being ridiculed.

Musical Fidelity's V-DAC... supposedly good stuff, but I could not bring myself to buying it. Went with the Bel Canto instead.

Of course - some are downright ugly enough to give me nightmares!

Any Grado headphones. The sound superb, but look ugly.

I can't remember listening to something good that looked really hideous.
