Oh, do I want a pair of these, ah, but it is income tax time and how can I make these a "business expense"? Oh, well, I know there will be 1,000 very happy people somewhere on the planet enjoying some reproduced music very well.

The 800 series was never made in China, they were always made in the UK. The non diamond version of the 805 sound amazing as it is, this should be even better.

In UK and the wood in Denmark. The new speaker is not limited as was the Diamond Silver Signature. They'll sell much more 805D, as it as been highly antecipated.

I wish one could listen to their products other than at B&W dealers. I HATE being pushed to buy Rotel amps when I just want to hear speakers.Wonder how these compare sonically to other high end monitors. I would love to test listen a well-broken in pair.

The cabinets of the 800 serie is no longer made in Agerbaek (Denmark), but are now made in England. I'm also looking forward to hear the new 805D - I liked the 805S very much, but wished that they made a diamond version. Well - here it is.

The 805 Diamond is a beautiful speaker. Sadly I bought my 805S less than a year ago for rears. If these were available then, even at almost double the cost, I would have considered them as their diamond tweeters would match my 802Ds. Thankfully as rears, the different tweeters probably don't make such a difference, but man, glad that B&W finally came out with a two-way standmount with the diamond tweeters. About time!

Focal is a notch or two above B&W for a few years. B&W seems to have flat out QUIT anything innovative for some while. Wow, the D tweeter FINALLY made it down to the 805. Too late. Think the current 6xx series 4 is going to hold value like a pair of 6xx series 3s or 2s? China has doomed B&W as a listening aesthetic of pride in the listening room.

To Tom. I am a B&W dealer and carry a number ofelectronics from other companies that wedemonstrate their speakers with; ARC, Naim, McIntosh to list a few. Inevitably whenever we demonstrate the 800 series we get comments of "we did not know these sounded this good" or "I have never heard these sound like this". To say I am looking forward to hearing this new version would be an understatement!I am betting they are going to be superb.

I really like the 801Ds and it's a shame they've been dropped though I can understand why, being huge and all. I doubt the new line with its tweaks up can ever replace the prowess of a massive 15" woofer. End of an era

Hi everybody! I bought 805s a year ago. I am very pleased with them though I've heard a lot of bigger and expensive speakers. Also it took me about a year to finish the cables war and the acoustics but now I am fully satisfied. Just to mention that im very thankful to my dealer who told me that for the last 'hidden' upgrade I can change the tweeters with thediamond ones which cost 408 euro pair and u can replace it urself for 1min. though other people said its impossible cause sensitivity maybe is different, crossovers etc. Believe me they matched perfect without any disbalance in the soundstage as if they were meant to be originaly. The improvement in sound is fantastic, the instruments are not dry anymore, its more 3D and its absolutely amazing. Go for it:-)

Petko Pentchev, tell us more about the 805S diamond tweeter upgrade! Where can one buy them and what was the installation process like? This sounds very interesting!

End of an era indeed with 801s gone. Pity. But hey, B&W has a Zeppelin you!

I have a pair of 805 Signature red eye. I have asked the BW product manager in France and he said that it will be too expensive to upgrade 805 S or Signature towards 805 Diamond.Everything except the envelop in wood is different : crossover , medium loudspeaker, cables,and phase, etc...too bad but understandable.

This new black gloss finish B&W has cooked up lately is horrible and difficult to maintain in even a reasonably clean home. I am not sure why they feel as if every one of their new speakers needs to be in gloss black these days. It's a bit tacky looking, damages easily and shows cleaning caused swirl marks horribly due to the nano-technology thin finish (they should have slathered it with 3/8" clear lacquer over black poly which would have been nearly indestructible but no….). Not to mention how reflective that finish can be resulting in a situation where every few seconds you will be looking over at your speakers when TV or Projector reflections cause you to be distracted at lighting changes, creating a very irritating theater or movie experience. Poor finish choice for a 5K speaker which after being dusted 10 times will look 10 years old. Not for me.

I listened to the 805 diamonds yesterday. And I just have to say WOW, to bad I cannot change the size of the characters, because these are BIG WOW.Ok, they have only been played for about 20 hours, so I guess there would be additional WOW to get from them.I certainly heard micro details never heard before. Every little detail from the music were very well staged, and the music seemed to flow from nowhere. I actually enjoyed these speakers so much I almost did fall asleep. It was so relaxing and enjoyable with these extremely detailed, but yet very balanced and easy listened speakers.It is a beauty, which is as enjoyable to listen to as to look at. I think Im in love!

Ever since I had a listen to the big 800D I've been waiting for the little 805 to get the diamond treatment. This fits my budget and living room much better.

Yes, I think they sound fine, but 5.000 is definitely obscene. At this price I´ll buy a diamond for wife and I still have money to buy an excellent ProAc, Monitor Audio, Spendor, whatever
