Not an Amusing Post

When I checked in late last night, I noticed the cribs lined up along the halls of my corridor, but all I thought was, "What a child friendly country." Nor did I think much about all the Caucasian couples I saw carrying Asian infants amidst all the audiophiles thronging the halls.

However, when I was just downstairs attempting to photograph said throngs, a red-faced man tried to grab my camera out of my hands, while screaming (I swear), "Have you no decency, sir?"

It seems GuangZhou is a destination for American families adopting Chinese babies and a just-minted grandpapa thought I was intruding on his newly-forged family's privacy. Well, if I thought he was red-faced before the camera-grabbing incident, I didn't know the half of it.

Just for the record, I believe that happy families are the ones that choose one another. Sometimes you even pick the one you were born into—but it's far from your only choice. And every time you make the choice to include someone in your group of loved ones, you've changed the world for the better. Good luck, folks.
