Hi, and welcome!
You said it perfecftly...amplifier and CD player will do ya. iPod dock can be discussed, too....lots of option.
For choosing the amplifier, a little more info about budget and the brand and model of the speakers would help to take things forward.
Thanks for the response. I have no idea how much amps cost, i am assuming around 500-900 retail for a solid one. I do have some friends who work at best buy, and they get me good discounts(probably around half off, depending on the item), but i don't know if they sell amps there.
I was looking to spend around 300, if possible. Maybe i could buy something used.
I don't know the brand of the speakers, but i would assume they are about 1000 watts RMS, altogether.
Brand names and even model numbers would allow us to give you the best advice.
Here's an idea to start with - good quality, good price, compact size since the cd/dvd player is integrated with the receiver.

FYI, a rating of 1000 watts RMS (or any other "power" rating of speakers) is not a useful or meaningful number. It has nothing to do with the sound, and even has little to do with the maximum amount of power the speakers can absorb before they catch on fire. Ignore power ratings on speakers, they tell us nothing. It's like saying my car has a time rating of 1000 minutes (wow, that's way better than a car that gets 300 minutes, right?!?)
Towers: Technics SB-A32's Also, they say 3 way speaker twin woofer, mutual effect system.
Receiver(or amplifier, not sure what to call it): Stereo integrated amplifier SU-G90.
Sorry it took so long, i havn't been home in a while. But, there you go. I am looking to not have to take all of the equipment with me to my other house. I want to just take the amplifier, but then, i wouldn't be able to hook up my ipod. I just want to be able to play my ipod on these, maybe a single cd player would be good too.
I can take a picture if you guys would like. Also, i couldn't find a lot of info on these on the internet, so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help!

Amp and speakers will only need an iPod dock (or analog connector) plus, if you want, a disc player.
Hi and Welcome. Good advice as above!
