Seeing Dukes of September was a night of "nevers."
Never thought I'd see "Peg" performed live with Michael McDonald singing his original back up lines.
Never thought I'd go to a concert where Michael McDonald performed. He didn't suck! Good job on "Takin' It To The Streets."
Never thought I'd hear a Steely Danified version of Shakedown Street, which was awesome.
Never thought I'd hear certain songs by The Band done live again.
Absolutely never thought I'd hear a version of Thunderclap Newman's "Something In The Air" that would beat the original.
Never realized how bitter "Reelin' In The Years" was.
Never thought "I.G.Y." would become more apt 28 years after its release.
Never heard a better version of "Love Train."
Put together "Takin' It To The Streets," "I.G.Y." and "Something In The Air" and you have the basis for a liberal counter-Tea Party.
Really a fine show.
My wife loves Boz now, too.
