Thanks for the reply Struts. Sorry it took me a while to reply back, I'd given up on my post. I agree, to me everything about this whole site is pretty much as dead as a doornail.

I see that Guitar Center is now stocking the Shure SRH840s for $199 so now you have a chance to go audition a pair. There is probably one close to you.
