Yes it is really good news to read that many Black Saint and Soul Notes will once again be available.
And add to the "hoping they get reissued" list:
Muhal Richard Abrams
Don Pullen
Don Pullen & George Adams Quartet
World Saxophone Quartet
and many others which I just can't think of right now.
They took a bit to get here, but I now have the Threadgill and Haden sets.
The packaging is decent, though unspectacular: white boxes with small photos of the albums inside.
There are no books or extra takes, just the original albums in cardboard reproductions of the original sleeves.
I'm just starting to listen, so can't really speak to the remastering - but C. Haden's 'Silence' sounds very good.
All in all, a solid buy, given the money involved and what you get.
