It seems this "intelligent design" crowd is really just an angry contrarian crowd looking for attention.

Maybe the turn of the century (from the 1800's to 1900's) zapped their culture; what with all the women getting to vote and go to college, them uppity black folk getting more and more voting rights, etc...It's all a violation of what they call "Natural Law."

It's an anger at everything sort of odor they emit.

For sure, but getting back to the OP, looks like DC is going to get another dose.

YIKES.

No climate change, eh?

I specifically warned you that if reading that thread, your mind, in it's efforts to protect the ego and it's position would SPECIFICALLY make you forget the existence of this part of the IRREFUTABLE fossil record, of there being a more advanced form of man in the fossil record from a minimum of ~10,000 years back.

Nothing disturbing about this as a possibility; it's sounds pretty cool.

Can you cite to this irrefutable evidence specifically?

Don't worry. We are accepting and supportive of both creationists and gays. Whatever suspends your planet.

I have yet to meet someone who is both. They have got to be pretty rare.

You have got to get to church more often, then.

As for the other, irrefutable potential, but to drive the point home better, it looks like I said irrefutable perfect evidence (the sledgehammer in the face kind), specifically of that of prior intelligence existing here, on this planet. In the end, it is only one data point of many that can be researched.

Plenty of gays in churches, but openly gay fundamentalists/creationists?

As a trumpet player I get hired to play at many churches of all flavors (which is fun onto itself) but I have yet to meet any gay fundamentalists. But there has got to be some.

I need to expand my marketing as a musician.

I edited my post and added the desired info. As for music, the is a ambient reggae Australian/aboriginal beach band that came up when you were gone, the name of the band is OKA, and you might like what they do. It's really excellent stuff.

They play their stuff to perfection live, and live instruments. I've heard them from a few feet away, they are amazing and the butt-swing they can infect their music with is absolutely intoxicating. It's butt-swinging ambient Reggae existentialism of the highest order, all filled with as much heart and humanity ans one could ever ask for. The part you might like? They play the Didgeridoo like a horn instrument. mic'd and electronically manipulated, and variations thereof. I live for this stuff.

Thanks for the links!

The didgeridoo is an incredible instrument, amazing sounds even without electronic manipulation. I have one and cannot even begin to make the sounds that a good player can produce, even though it is just another trumpet.

Update:

I took a look at the link. This interpretation of the "Boskops hominid" is controversial at best.

I checked with a friend of mine in the field (a physical anthropologist at Berekely) who sent me a quick email, noting that evolutionary biologists and paleoanthropologist have been long aware of these claims and rejected them many decades ago. The analysis of skull fragments found is flawed, as are the conclusions, and the skull's overall size is within the upper range of large human/humanoid skulls.

Summary no big whoop (technical term) and not even very interesting..

The Discovery article itself notes the opinions expressed are controversial and cites clicky

I have once tried to play a didgeridoo also. It was totally impossible to make it sound right. All I managed was to make it sound like some sort of huge fart

It is nutty hard to sound good, let alone accomplish the neat sounds mimicking indigenous Australian animals, circular breathing, etc.

Indeed! Homocreationists have yet to be uncovered in the fossil record. Most likely due to procreationists stealing the show.

Dow up 2,000 points in past 12 months!

Nothing but blue sky ahead!

At this rate, it will hit 20,000 points in five years!

Everything in place in Vancouver...except snow.

Does that prove global warming, or would someone be an idiot for concluding that from only the past fews weeks or month's weather, Lamont?

Pointing out any one storm to prove or disprove global warming is about as smart as looking at your speed over your one mile run and extrapolating it to non-stop a thousand mile run.

We did have a comedy skit done by a group on TV, and they showed how happy they were, when they said (there was a hockey strike at the time, which had just ended), "Hockey is back, and Celine Dion is Still in Vegas! Life is good!"

Good news for Canada. Celine just signed a new Vegas contract for three years.

She's a very nice lady and does good deeds here, so I do not mean to disparage her as a person.

Her vocals are so overwrought, though...you'd think she'd be a darling of audiophiles!

Actually her second CD ("D'Eux") has some great tracks (and some not so great). It's all in French.

Don't picture her and listen to the theme of the movie Titanic. It's actually a great song. Music to soothe the savage beast.
