I've owned the Exposure 2010S for about a year, and have used it with several different brands of cables (Analysis Plus, Furutech, QED, Alpha-Core, Exposure's own) without any problems.

The only thing I'd really be concerned about is making sure the cables are terminated with banana plugs. See Jim Austin's Follow-Up.

Thanks Stephen. The background on this is that I am considering changing up my system as it sounds a little un-involving. I listen mostly to rock. Anything from the Beatles and Billy Joel to the Stones and GN'R.

I've got a YBA YA201 integrated and a Rega Saturn. I think the combo is a little too smooth, it doesn't really rock the way it should. I'll be considering the Exposure 2010s system and the Naim 5i system (Nait 51 and CD5i). I'm thinking that moving to one brand as well may yield better synergy, though I'd be a little remiss giving up the Saturn. Perhaps it'll work well with an Exposure or Naim amp.

What about the Rega Mira integrated?

The Mira3 is an option as well, though I haven't really given it much consideration. If I'm not mistaken some of the smoothness and body in the music that I'm not particularly fond of may be coming from the Saturn. Naim and Rega are often said to be similar (PRat) but Naim is said to have more bite. I guess it's this bite that I am looking for.

The way things have worked out is that I'm likely not going to consider Naim anymore. The Naim dealer here wasn't as cooperative as I'd hoped. The 5i also doesn't have a sub-out or pre-out, which for me is a big deal because I bought a new sub and cables earlier this year. This may not be a good reason to miss out on a great product but Naim is on the back burner for now unless I just do not like my other options.

So I am going to a different dealer, one who I had dealt with before and who is very helpful. I just found out that he will begin carrying Exposure as of today or tomorrow. He also stocks Creek. So these are the options for now, the 2010s2 (verion 2 of the 2010s) and the Creek Evo2. He carries Rega as well, so it too is an option, though I'll be going in more interested in the other two.
