On a more serious note...it could get quite ugly. The quake behavior/pattern is marching right along/down the Sumatran fault line..and it is coming quite close to Krakatoa, which is nearing the size that it had when it last blew (1883).

That is a bit of an exaggeration, but the fact that the island mass is coming back at an alarming rate and according to the suspected eruption rate for that particular earthly boil..it could be considered overdue for a good lancing.

Time for Al Gore to make "An Inconvenient Tremor."

We should cap and trade tectonic drift. This HAS to be man caused, eh?

Actually, no, there's no sign of volcanic tremor under Krakatoa or Toba, it's pretty clear, though, that the plate is baqsically hitching up its pants and adjusting itself for comfort.

This is somewhat expected after the events at Banda Aceh, really.

This post has no subject related point at all, really. I'm just trying to get the word shit off the open page of the forum listings. However, I will say that we are hoping that shit does not happen for Indonesia and associated areas.

coincidentally...right near the Krakatoa site. As I said, it appears to be marching right down the Sumatran fault line.
