The figures show the U.S. spending 600 billion in 2008 and Europe spending 320 billion. We are waging war in 2 countries. What are they doing for their 320 bil? Are they involved in that many peace actions?
At least we're getting more bang for our buck

We pulled their fat out of the fire when "Adolf" was about to sink the island. Then we rebuilt them and the rest of Europe. To top it off, we didn't ask for anything in return. If you ask me, most Western European countries are full of a bunch of ungrateful SOB's. The French are so damn ungrateful they're beneath contempt. We should have demanded their most attractive women for repayment. Although they would have had to shower and shave their underarms before being sent here.
They gave up WWII almost without a fight so Paris wouldn't get bombed. The Brit's will at least stand up for what's right.
Great Britain has made a terrible mistake by allowing Islamic fundamentalists to establish such a major presence. It's going to come back and bite them in the ass. Some might say the biting has already begun.

I love the US and im very happy living here, but you guys can kiss my Welsh ass when it come's to the military.
The US military could not hit the endzone from the 1 yard line with a boat load of missiles. The one and only reason the US militay succeeds is by sheer volume.
The British are the elite fighting forces of the world, ask any real military man and they will tell you the SAS are the baddest motherfuckers in the world. The average US ranger/delta force/green beret or whatever will not land anywhere unless there is a fucking burger king open.
The simple reason that the UK turned WW II was that we captured enigma ( not Bon fucking Jovi ! !! ) Winston Churchill is without doubt the greatest leader in the past 100 years nobody else is even close, yes he was an alcoholic lunatic but that's exactly what was needed to deal with Hitler and company. If the US hadnt been so fucking liberal and stopped Chruchill for pushing the Russians back at the end of the war we never would have seen the rise of communism. So just remember it was the US's own miltary liberalism that created commies, if left to Churchill he would have kicked their ass.

The thing that the average geographically/politically ignorant American does not understand is that 99.999 % of Musilims are peace loving normal people. The reason for the minority hating America is purely due to America's insistance of protecting Israel at all costs.
If America just stopped supporting Israel the the Muslims would stop hating.
Dont forget that in the 70's & 80's the majority of the IRA's money for bombs came from US donations, most American's thought it was a cute freedom fight. It was only when terroism began to affect US people at home that they started to realise how misguided they were.
What the world needs is for the US to pull out of everywhere it doesnt belong and just look after itself, that way if something has a problem directly with the US we can just blow the motherfuckers up and be done with. Stop all this interfering into shit we dont belong in.

You have it wrong, the aim of Islam is an Islamic world. This is in the Koran and is part and parcel of being a Muslim. 99.9% of Muslims want an Islamic world although they won't admit it to "Infidels".
I've said it before and I'll say it again. There are only two kinds of Muslims.
Radicals who want to kill all non Muslims
Moderates who monetarily support radicals.
To think that if the US stopped supporting Israel the Muslims would stop hating is frankly a stupid and myopic viewpoint. You seem to overlook the fact that the aim of Islam is an Islamic world. The destruction of Israel is just the first step in their plan for world domination. Check your history and you will find that the Muslims allied themselves with the Nazi's in order to get rid of the Jews. A Muslim saying you should remember is "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".
If they can ever overcome the Israeli's the rest of the western world is next in their sites.

Cut off any foreign aid to Islamic countries. Nuke Pakistan and Iran. If any of the other Muslim countries complain too loudly, nuke them too.
I say this not out of hate, but out of love. Love for freedom, both religious and personal. Love for myself, my friends, neighbors and the Western life style.

If there was a great American love for nuclear explosions we would have continued to drop them on Japan after the first two. They would also have been used during the Korean war and saved a lot of American lives.
The US has traditionally used only the minimum force necessary to accomplish its goals. Whether you agree with those goals is another question.
I don't live in NYC anymore. In fact, I don't live in the States anymore. However, the figures were discussing defense spending. If you do the math, you will notice that the US spends more than Europe, Asia and Oceania COMBINED. That's a lot of spending to fight two wars in countries that are barely out of stone age.

I am just waiting for the Americans to go after the Italians in Texas. What are the Italians doing in Texas anyway? They must be up to no good. Probably going to sabotage something or extort money from hard working American businesses. Everyone knows that Italians are only allowed in New York, New Jersey and Chicago. I think it's time we spent some of our defense budget dollars to go after the REAL enemy.

Alan, that is a crazy sentiment. I know many SF Operators both US and British, and I feel comfortable asserting(as a former Airborne Infantryman) that ANY Special Forces operator is a bad-ass. I am quite certain that my friends from SAS and my Special Ops buddies would agree. SFOD-Delta , those guys kick ass too.
if you feel otherwise, I welcome you to try out Ranger School, SFAS and Subsequent Q-Course, SEAR(i've done that one), Seal training... Airborne school(done that one too)..hell, boot camp!

guys, i didn't mean to offend anyone. I was poking fun at the stereotype that all americans like to blow things up. Although i must admit, that picture is pretty awesome
And just what "dumbass" comment have I made? I was a military brat and grew up on military bases. The military tradition runs deep in me and my family. I am also a veteran who volunteered for military service in 1966.
I was an air sea rescue medic working out of Cam Rhan Bay in 1968. That basically means I was shot at and wasn't allowed to carry a weapon to return fire.
I've been to Jump School and Pensacola. I've still got the first pair of Jump Wings I was awarded. I have never in life verbally attacked any British military person. As a matter of fact I've always though very highly of "Tommys".
As for other American military personnel, several of my closest friends were SEALS. My best friend was in the 101st Airborne. I could walk down any alley or street with any one of them and know they had my back as I would have theirs. I don't think I could say the same for you.

I too like blowing things up, in computer games. Flight sims are high on my list. I regularly fly against an older friend who was a Tuskegee Airman. He shoots me down most of the time. That dude can fly!
