I do.

But you can't have them if you're in upper management.

My 1989 Black Porsche 911. Mini whale tail spoiler BBS wheels, Pirelli P-Zero's, Momo steering wheel, Recaro seats, free flow exhaust, tinted side windows. The interior is mostly tan leather. This car is for me like my Acoustats; something to keep for life.
I got my brother to re-paint it 2 years ago. 10 coats of black (hand rubbed between coats)with a clear coat finish. I did all the rubbing!
It's got a "crappy" cassette/CD deck in the dash. I rarely use it because I like the noises the car makes. My lady friends want to listen to music so I accommodate them.
BTW "Crappy" is anything not as good as my rig at home.

My latest is a silver '09 BMW M3 coupe with carbon fiber roof, larger throttle bodies, exhaust system, 4.10 final drive. I'm waiting on the lowering springs a program to flash my ECU. With all that and 100 octane fuel I can keep up with the Audis in the dry.

Prior to that, I was into 5.0 Mustang Porsche-eaters, all hotted up, lowered and tuned suspension. It was great, great fun at Porsche Club events to see them snicker and then blow their doors off. BTW, the Bimmer Boys are just as bad as the Porsche-pricks (no offense meant, those are just known personality types that we have to suffer)at looking down their noses at cars that weren't built by the boys in Germany.

Anyway, when they put the V8 into the M3 I had to get one. It's my "ultimate" Mustang.

My MOST exotic ride, that I'll never forget, was riding in a Ferrari 330GTS with the top down in 1967. Holy crap, those exhausts gave off an incredible song rolling over the back of the car as we toodled around the North side of Jacksonville, FL, with the salesman from Brumos Porsche giving a joy ride to a 19 year old with no money. My M3 with the new exhaust give off a sound that close, but nothing will ever match that V12 at 4,000 rpm.

Second best was Ron Miller's first edition Lamborgini Countach. Holy crap again, not subtle at all, but raw, rough and FAST. Sadly, Ron died mysteriously before he completed his Lamborgini museum. He had one of every model lined up, including cigarette boats, off road, etc. Man, that would have been something to see.

The second new car I owned was a Shelby Mustang. The real one with pin locks holding the hood down. The only things I look down my nose at are trucks (any kind) and soccer mom vehicles. My first new car was a 1966 Pontiac GTO convertible red with black interior. Bench front seat. It did have a Hurst shifter to go with the 376 tri-powered horses. My 911 has been with me for 15 years. It is still fast enough to scare my passenger and sometimes me.

Power to weight ratio. My Ducati 999 tests in the real world 0-60 2.8 sec, 1/4 mi 135mph, top speed 172mph.
For a car my old light weight 1977 Porsche 911S does O.K.
After doing some real modifications to correct its many flaws.

Someone else will always have a faster bigger or more powerful whatever.
I thought this thread was about showing interest in other things than audio equipment. I acquire a car, motorcycle or speakers because it is what I want. I'm not interested in impressing the general public. If impressing others is that important to you you will probably never be satisfied.

See my first sentence.

That is where I am normally forced to stop reading and start grading. So? You need to learn how to write English. Stop yelling at people to grow up when you write on a 5th grade level. I'm assuming you are out of school.

Driving old, wore out trucks has its advantages. For example, when I'm driving my '86 Silverado (banged up fenders and bent bumper) on the highway and want to merge into traffic, EVERYBODY makes room for me. I mean come on, if you've got a BMW, Porsche or whatever and you see a guy in a beat up old truck with obvious body damage swerving your direction, the first thought going through your mind is that this guy just might not have insurance and if he does, his truck shows signs of having been too close to another chunk of metal before. Hell, I don't even have to look in my mirrors anymore.

I have a reasonably quick car so I can get out of your way!

My goodness you certainly are a very rude person. You're back to your juvenile name calling. I will continue to suggest you need to grow up as long as you continue to act like a 15 year old acting out his frustrations. Why don't you go hug your gun suck your thumb and go to sleep.
Heaven help any students you may really be grading!

How does this apply to you?

I can be rude also.
