Cheers to the great jazz man.... RIP
This is so sad, I remember seeing an article that featured a close up of our beloved Freddie, with his lips all busted up, which prevented him from doing anymore playing. But the glorius CTI days - First Light, just choose any song you want. Moment to Moment and Admiral Halsey are favorites of mine. Then there is Sky Dive, then the by play between him and Grover Washington Jr. on "Ifrane" on Randy Westons - Blue Moses lp! What a great lp. A must have!!
I pray his family is okay. I`m thinking about him, and now Grover comes to mine as well as untimely as his death was.......
You guys do know he has his on website now, where you can listen to his music. And pianist Bob Baldwin for those fond of Grover, on his home page has a special page dedicated to Grover. For it turns out they were good friends.
