In his As We See It column, Art Dudley concisely narrates the current state-of-the-art of home audio within the mess that defines the economic climate. He then issues a clear call to action to audio manufacturers.
I read the column more than once, amazed that the Stereophile editorial board would permit its being published! But there it is. For you louts that don't subscribe, get yourself to the newsstand and pick up a copy.
What "editorial board"?
John Atkinson
Editor, Stereophile
Didn't you hear John? You've been promoted to "Editorial Board." Sorry, same pay though.
Hey, I'm just a regular reader of the mag, and an occasional poster on the forums. I assumed that there is editorial policy and some structure on how content in the mag is vetted. Guess not. Don't really care.
Saith JA: The editorial board, c'est moi!

Yes, there is an editorial policy and yes all the content in the magazine is, if not "vetted," commissioned, edited for grammar and syntax, and content. The person ultimately responsible for all those things is not an editorial board but me.
Glad you appreciated Art's essay. Stuff that needed to be said, and Art can say it better than anyone else on the magazine.

Et apres moi -- le deluge!!
(Je m'amuse. Il n'est-ce pas "apres mois," c'est _toujours_ moi.)
Jean A.
Oh you brave man! How unlike the rest of the corporate world, where taking responsibility for anything is for suckers.
Keep up the good work, all.
Le roi s'amuse.

"Yes, there is an editorial policy and yes all the content in the magazine is, if not "vetted," commissioned, edited for grammar and syntax, and content."
Ummm. Care to, ummm, tell us which writer requires the most editing for grammar, syntax, and content?
"Tish!"
Yeah!
A Bunny!
Not just any bunny. A lavender bunny. Probably due to single-ended genes.
I really miss Listener magazine.
