Hey, Johnj!
I just had a friend rebuild a couple pairs of Advents with the "25th Anniversary Tweeter." I will ask him to come and reply to your question.
Don't go buy anything else just yet!

Perfect.
I'll leave the tweeter guy alone.

Here is a place for replacement drivers: http://www.simplyspeakers.com/12diaphragms.htm The P85C00019 is likely to be an adequate replacement.
I don't know if this site is still active: http://layneaudio.hypermart.net/Advent.htm
Thanks for all the info. I'm an idiot- blew the fuse- tweeter is fine. That happens sometimes when the 3 year old decides to turn knobs.
Turns out I have a pair of Maestro's. Sad to find out they were the first Jensen model, but I've enjoyed them over the years. I remember buying them as a senior in High School after saving $ forever. I was so ecstatic when I set them up in my room. Drove them with a decent HK receiver for years. Currently running with a Paradigm sub and Parasound Pre-amp and Amp. Had them reconed a few years back and they still sound good in our small home.
